I have been reading your posts about d'ni and the writing and i am happy to say that i don't have many questions about it. Watching you clever people discus it has given me a deeper understanding. (Maybe i can see the whole  ) But there is one question that came to me when i was re-reading the book of ti'ana today that I haven't been able to figure out. I was hoping that you guys have the answer. Here it goes:

How did Veovis escape from his last prison age?

I just can't figure it out! :)

A'Gaeris had managed to get himself a linking book to the room from which Veovis' exile would be effected. The link destination was right in front of the exile book pedestal and he had placed his book so that maintaining the pose he had when using that book, he would touch the exile book right away, upon linking in. This allowed him to follow Veovis with a linking book to escape through.

He was visible for a brief moment, when he linked through.

Why he had to link from a replica of the room, I can't figure out - maybe you see a little of the age a person that links in comes from? (..in which case I demand updated linking effects in Uru ;))

That A'Gaeris... what a madman. I just finished Book of Ti'ana today, and I was frankly devastated by what he did. I knew that at some point, D'ni fell somehow, so I already knew how it all was going to "end", but nothing could have prepared me for everything that happened.
