Does anyone know what this Glyph shows? It is is a sequence of drawings near the fountain in Eder Kemo, along with Teledahn, Garrison, Kadish Tolesa, and Ae'gura.

Any help would be much appreciated :D

Reelah

(and please ignore the fuzzy stuff around the edges, I don't have an unedited copy  )

There is a lot of information and there are very nice pictures about the Glyphs on the DLF site
Ireenquench did several tours and this thread has a log of one of the tours with great information and pictures.

That glyph shows a prison-slave holding age of some kind, i think, as I recall from ireen and ti'chelle's excellent tours and the discussion on the DLF site, both are the best resources that I know of. Nice to see the pic.

That Glyph is titled EK-2 or Eder Kemo 2, by the Bahroglyph study research and there is a pic here ehanched by Zardoz:

and all the glyphs are posted on the Bahroglyph Study Group site:

You will find details on these washed out glyphs in the intro Glyph tour chat log posted in this thread on the DLF forum here:

After various speculations (Gira...) and repeated rumors about the Age of Rebek being shown there, I think it was Linkin' Imp (frequents the UO forum) who asked Stephane Martiniere about this and got a confirmation on Rebek.(Stephane Martiniere being the artist who worked on this one).

Information about that Age is in Sharper's early journals. ( I think there used to be a few additional tidbits on the old DRC site, not sure about that).
Basically it was a place where high ranking members of the D'ni society hunted slaves as game, for fun. It is unclear if the slaves in question were the Bahro or a different species (just like the question about the Teledahn slaves.) Theory goes that you can identify the high ranking guild members in this (and other scenes) by their demonstrative clothing (the rectangular shape of the figures) with the obvious "circles" on them. Way, way back somebody on the DLF had connected this to infomation found in the books (forgot which one): Depending on their guild rank, guild members had emblematic dots on their garments, the fewer of them, the higher the rank. A "one-dot" would be the Grand Master (I think that's what the highest rank is called.)

As to what looks like a the cage like shape above water... lots of speculation on that, but as far as I know none of the theories could ever be tightened.

The D'ni were horrible
yet we can't keep away from them :)

But I'm sure that because that was their culture, no one seemed to think anything of it.
It makes me shiver, reading the BoD was terrible for me.

We too have slaves, but they are economic ones.......there is much we can learn from the D'ni ;)
