I, among others, was hoping that Yeesha's "He comes" in the MOUL intro referred to Ahlsendar, but alas, it seems to only refer to either Phil or Dr. Watson.

I think King Ahlsendar would need to study up some, since 'KINGS' were ended and control was given over to the Guilds way later. That doesn't mean that he wouldn't receive a certain deferential treatment as a former king or even Great King.

In the mean time, based on the fact that the plague didn't affect D'ni, he would kind be the proof of that, the rest of us could dust off all the buried books that linked the D'ni to their past and go exploring.

I'm up for that, uh huh.

As far as I'm concerned, very little of what Phil says is even remotely reliable. Also remember that before Uru Live shut down, the whole story between the DRC and Yeesha (and correspondingly, Phil) was going to be totally different than the direction it took in MO:UL.

I'd go so far as to say Phil is perhaps the most reliable source, in the uru-timeline, perhaps with the exception of Zandi, who doesn't say much, anyways.

Yeesha is definitely not reliable. *Definitely* not reliable at all.

The DRC is not reliable, since for at least one point in the timeline, they were agenda-based.

Douglas is possibly reliable, but, possibly not.

But, then, I sadly missed the, uh, "new" Phil, even with the changes to Phil in MOUL, scarily enough, he's still pretty much the most reliable source. Scary, eh?

/Gandhar seems to remember 12 or 13 anecdotes he has (had) in URU and most are not useful for this thread but useful as a newbie in URU...My favorite is...''Laughing'' Do you think these steaks are done? Or something to that effect.

I always assumed that "he" was going to be the villain who eventually became Esher in End of Ages. It seems like a lot of ideas for the future direction of Uru ended up in EoA. I'm curious what they would do now instead, but I wouldn't expect much story development since there isn't going to be any new content from Cyan for the foreseeable future.

One has to know about The Skill and the Art and that it works simular to quantom machinics and time travel.
In our reality of 'time' The Great King has long sense been dead. But not dead If he linked to a age that was in the future
of this Time. As if you remember back int he orignal Myst game you had the planetarium room where you had to line
up the star constalations to the dates which were extream like the year 9023 (not sure about the exact number date)
So it is entirly possible for the Great King to make a come back some day.

The Question I have is next to impossible to answer is Just how the 3 types of linking actualy work?
With the quantom element involved, (if you change or add something to a discriptive book ) you will link to
the age witht he changed properties you just wrote in, BUT it will NOT be the same age but a differant age
with the changed properties in it and also a possible changed, differant reality/dimention (quantom part)

Question 2 is; say I wrote a discriptive book a week ago (7 days ago / 2010). I link to it a see a volcano eurpting
in a far distance you feel the ground tremble etc. you see native people running here and there scared etc.
Then you link back (but first hiding a linking book to D'ni) You link back and put the book on the shelf forgetting
about it for a decade or so.
Now the year is 2020 and you take the discriptive book your wrote 10 years ago off the shelf and open it
to the linking panel page... With what was said about linking, When I link through will I
arrive back in the age in that same spot in 'time' and finish watching the volcano eurpt and see people
running all over the place like I did before when I linked there for the first time?

If this is true then WE ALL ARE caught in a Quantom loop/leap ie; (the old TV show titled Quantom Leap, same princaple here) Everyone who has fallin into the Star Fissure is caught in this quantom leap or 'River' as Yeesha puts it.
