According to mystlore, Dimath's name was spelled incorrectly as Demath by the DRC. How do they know it was misspelled? is it the D'ni writing above his notebook?

Yes, you're right Pokemon.
The D'ni writing in the Palace Alcove is "Dimath".
This is not necessarily an error, sometimes words change when they are transliterated from D'ni to English. Another example is Kadish, that in D'ni is Kaydish. While in English you could already pronounce it like that, it's not like that in other languages.
Speaking Italian, I discovered the real pronunciation of Kadish only looking at his name in D'ni.

KAY-dish?
I always pronounced it KUH-dish.
Maybe some people pronounced it like the hebrew Kaddish (KA-dish, I think.)
Anyway, thanks. I'm not sure who to side with. My guess is Demath is pronounced Dimath.

You should check some documents about the pronunciation of D'ni letters and then see how Kadish in written in D'ni (check on his letter), then you'll know how to pronounce it correctly.

For Demath, yes I guess that was the intent when it was translaterated to English.
