I started this thread to so that all of us with this problem can post the different solutions we have tried. That way we can put in a bug report, and also let the rest of us know

As far as I can tell, the problem is that using the Cathedral's Ahnonay book doesn't replace a deleted Ahnonay book. Instead you end up with two Ahnonays, one of which is only accessible via the Cathedral. With this one you are not able to link using the cloth bookmarks, so you can only really use the bookshelf Ahnonay to play the age.

I can almost confirm that - In this sequence, note that I even ended up with a Starry Ahnonay that had Quabs.

I can also confirm. I'm stuck in this same loop.

I did almost exactly like you GP, except I didn't delete my Ahnonay book. I was going to try that today, but now I'm not so sure it will have any effect.

I've just revisited CrisGer's Water Ahnonay (which the two of us tested together last night) via his Cathedral Book.

All of the quabs are back, and they don't run from me at all. They just stand their ground while I run over 'em, then go n'yah n'yah n'yah. These quabs have 'tude. :wink:

The water current is still off, though, so I was able to swim out to the control room behind the fake stuff -- which is good, because I wanted to go there to double-check something for one of the tickets I'm writing up.

i'm stuck in frozen quab lank as well.....

the delete the cathedral trick worked until i tried to go to crystal ahnonay....i eneded up in frozen quab land again

I have decided to dedicate my Ahonnay as a Game Refuge for Elderly Qwabs, for them to enjoy and play in during their Golden Years, so please do not tell Sharper about my Game Refuge, they dont seem to have any fear at all in us avis anymore.....

So what is causeing the Qwabs to become fearless?

Is the player avi NOT being detected by the Qwabs code?
Are there two states running concurrently, one for teh Qwabs, with no avi detected and one for the Avi with the Qwabs seen?
Some of the Qwab code reponses are working as they do move, but they dont run or respond to the Avi, I have them in my Watery Ahonnay now in one avi set up....

I was just wondering what could break the animation response, yet still have the Qwabs there?

And I still dont understand how they can get into Starry Ahonnay and NOT Crystal Ahonnay?

any ideas?

Guess that is a thing I found out yestrday when playing with Dot in her Ahnonay. I was locked in the tower of Ahnonay 1 while Dot travelled through the different Ahnonays. When she reached sphere 1 again she had the fearless quabs. With my help she was able to get into AHonay 3 again when I then started the age rotation by using the switch in the tower she told me that quabs are falling from the sky :-D

So my guess would be that the instances of Ahnonay 1 and 3 (starry) are placed in the global Ahnonay space as if they are really tied together in a circle with Ahnonay 2 and 4. Then Ahnonay 3 (the active one) is located directly below Ahnonay 1 and when starting the rotation the quab pested Ahnonay 1 rotates away but the quabs stay in place and fell through Ahnonay 1 only to land in Ahnonay 3 below.

i thought the switch on the left in the tower started the door machinery in the work area????/ does it also cause tower rotation...oh, you mean it rotates the Sphere 1 workshop to Sphere 2 workshop so that we can get into the inner area? I am still fuzzy on all of this, it is quite a mind bender how all of this works....

who thought up all of this anyway? a resident Cyan combo of Einstein, Tesla and Hawking?

The switch in the tower really does the same as using the linking book to the cathedral with the only difference that you can stay in the age while the rotation is done. That means when starting with Ahnonay 1 in active position the tower switch will move the Ahnonays to active position in the following order (2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1,...).

You cannot open the door in the back area using only this switch as it will always skip Ahnonay 4 in the active position.

The switch back in the maintainers area has a complete different function. It always moves the sphere in which you operate that switch to the active position regardless in what position that sphere is at this moment. Due to that the switch back there is only working once when used multiple times without rotating the spheres inbetween using one of the other mechanics.

Due to that you are able to open the door in Ahnonay 4 by using that switch as you have to link to Ahnonay 4 using a cloth while the sphere is in an "off" position (door closed). Operating the switch in the back area of Ahnonay 4 then moves sphere to the active position which opens the door as a side effect.

First - The longer I switched between the Fearless Quab Ahnonay and which ever one was marked for the Cathedral, the worse the lag got. This sugests to me that there is an accumulative data error each time that is probably comming from the vault.

Here is my sequence.
Deleted the Cathedral book
Went and picked it up from the pub and went to Ahnonay. Fearfull Quab Island.
Chased off a single Quab.
Then I went directly to the Cloth and touched it.
Went to relto and used the cloth in the Ahnonay book to link back - Fearless Quab Island
back to relto - Cathedral - Fearfull Quab Island.
Chased off another 8 quabs
Touched the cloth 0 Linked to relto - used the cloth to get back - Fearless Quab Island
Chased off another 5 Quabe - Relto Cathedral - tried to link to Ahnonay, but game did not let me
Relto Cathedral - Anhonay - Fearfull Quab Island.
Chased off 3 Quabs.
Relto - Cathedral - Ahnonay - chased off one.
Relto - Cathedral - Ahnonay - 4 quabs left for the whole Fearfull Quab Island
(Here I realized that the remainder were being randomized)
Cathedral - Ahnonay - 3 Quabs left (must have accidently chased one off the edge)
Cathedral - Ahnonay - 3 Quabs left
Relto - use cloth - Fearless Quab Island
Relto - Cathedral - Ahnonay - 3 Quabs on Fearfull Quab Island.
chased one off and then fell in the water
Relto - cloth - Fearless Quab Island
Relto Cathedral ahnonay - fearfull Quab island - chased off last quabs
relto - Cathedral - Ahnonay - fearless quab island
Cathedral - Ahnonay
Crystal Ahnonay
relto - cloth - Fearless Quab ahnonay
Relto - Cathedral - Ahnonay - Crystal Ahnonay
Hit loth without touching a tree.
relto - cloth - Fearless Quab Island
relto - Cathedral - Ahnonay - Crystal Ahnonay
linking from Fearless Quab ahnonay to the Cahedral and back to Ahnonay keeps at Fearless Quab Island.
Then linking to relto - Cathedral - Ahnonay brings me back to Crystal Island.
So there is still two instances of the age in my vault, I think.
