I just got an "error downloading file, exiting...." message while trying to download the Rehearsal update. I clicked "OK", the program quit, and now I can't get the thing to work at all -- launching the Uru Live application makes Cider blip open for less than a second and quit again, thereby shutting everything down.

Any other Mac users having this problem? Suggestions on how to fix? (or am I in for a complete reinstall at this point?)

The server could be down. I am using Windows and even if I was able to login earlier, it is not working at this time.

now that's evocative. ;)

Looks like it's a specific-to-Rehearsal problem, in any case, since Cider doesn't go pfft if I try to launch Live, fortunately. That was what was really worrying me....

This afternoon when trying to download the update I also got an error saying there is an error in downloading and the program will exit since then I have not been able to get past initializing patcher. Just tried Live and getting initializing patcher.

i too had the same message on live. if you haven't already done it, try rebooting your PC.

i finally rebooted my PC last night after getting that message for about an hour or so and after the reboot all worked fine and i can get into either now with no probs.

I gave up after a while of trying to get the download in rehersal going. I turned our computer off last night and tried both Live and rehersal this morning and they are both working. I will finish the download some time today. Thanks for the suggestion. If this happens again I certainly will restart our computer.

I rebooted my computer, but it hasn't made any difference -- the program still quits on me before it even gets to the patcher screen. Any suggestions?

If it even gets to that point it might be some corruption on your HD?
Have you tried to run a CHKDSK /P or so?
If it's on your C disk you can schedule that to run on the next reboot.

I have a Mac. We're speaking different languages here. ;)

I'm still entirely nonfunctional here - can someone please point me to the reinstaller? I can't find my old e-mails about it or wherever it's hiding on the forums at this point.

I had the initializing patcher error too. I found that there was a rogue second copy of Urulauncher.exe running in my Task Manager processes. When I shut down both programs and tried again it worked fine.

Hope that works.
