Hi friends.
I would like to know if it is possible to resize a picture in this forum?
I tried this but it doesn't work:

[img=640x480]image url[/img]
or
[img width=640 height=480]image url[/img]

Thanks.

Nope, phpBB doesn't support image dimensioning, at least not with the "stock" code in this template as far as I recall (other templates can include automatic thumbnailing but I don't think there's an allowance for declaring specific dimensions).

Try this:

Place your image in the image bbcode. Then add this after the filename without the quotations. "?resize=640%2C480"

It should look like www.thisismypicture.com/something.jpg?resize=640%2C480

@ Mister Magic

I use the free photo editor IrfanView (forWindows) with its plugings...
Dowloads: http://www.irfanview.com/

It comes at 32bit or at 64bit

In its tool bar there is an image tab and there is a resize line
+ many other possibilities like color correction(s).

It is a very user friendly application.

Bonne journée

I think this only works if the image server allows it.

As far as I know, this can be enforced by adding “max-width: 100%” to the img class in styles/prosilver/theme/common.css. If using a Prosilver-derived style, of course.

@Artic_Wagon.

Yes, I use irfanview, and know how to change the size of a picture with that program, but my question was: is it possible to add a code in the bbcode line for change the size of a picture that is already on a website like "servimg.com".

I tried all the known solutions as well as that proposed by Tomala but without result.
So, I think that the css sheet in MoL forum probably do not have the option to change the size of an image. And, to change the css style sheet you must be administrator of this forum.

Thank you for your answers.

That's the point - the style used here isn't derived from ProSilver - to keep most of the look and feel of the "old forums" (phpBB2) it's based on subSilver.

Ah. I thought there was a similar solution for other styles.

Anyway, the topic sounded familiar... and it is :D .
