How do we pay for Live outside the US?

Maybe someone else could ask ... ? Surely, if it has to be, and credit cards are the only option, there will hopefully be solutions like discussed here, but it would be nice to have an alternate option.

I passed a question about using alternative payment methods to CGraywolf and he said it was on the list, so maybe we will see, Randomos did say he would check on this in another thread too. So we can hope

Paypal needs a source of funds and a mode of transfer.

In many countries, PayPal offers alternative payment methods. In Germany, for example, you can pay with PayPal through direct debit, bank transfer and GiroPay, which is a more automatic form (and thus faster) form of bank transfer.

Before everyone gets carried away with the credit card issue, how do international users even start to subscribe to Gametap and join Uru Live, let alone pay? International, as in, the 5.75 billion people in the world who do not live in The Promised Land

I mean, I know I only live in the 51st state (UK, current Governor Tony Blair [Honorary Republican]) but GameTap won't let me sign up or even subscribe to their standard service as their site recognises my location through some clever interweb jiggery-pokery, and says "No way José! You are not one of the Chosen Ones. Sling yer hook you filthy foreigner!" .

Also, I think people aren't realising that you are not actually just signing up for an Uru Live membership with your $9.95, but full GameTap membership. This allows you access to hundreds of full downloadable games... from great old console games run via an inbuilt emulator, to some absolute classic modern PC games, like Baldurs Gate 2, Tomb Raider AoD, Splinter Cell and (one of my faves) Beyond Good & Evil, plus loads of other great RPGs, adventures and strategy titles that should appeal to Myst fans. Which is why I'm even more gutted that I can't sign up!

I've applied for the Uru Live beta so I can at least get a taste while I wait for GameTap to democratise themselves.

International entry to UL won't be via GameTap, at least initially.
