It's time to vote on which of the Lost Age entries wins Adobe Creative Suite 3!

The contest was conceived as documentation of Ages that the D'ni once knew, but lost access to; being the D'ni, they recorded what those Ages had once been.

The Myst Embassy opened the contest on Monday, April 23rd, and left it open until July 7th. The original intention was to have a panel narrow down the entires to the top 5, and then those would be presented to the community for voting. However, we only received 2 entires. If $1000 in software isn't enough to light a fire under people's creative tails, you guys are all asleep! ;)

Here are the two entries, presented anonymously in pdf format:

ENTRY A

ENTRY B

Please look them over, and then cast your vote! The voting is open for 2 weeks.

You know, that really is kind of sad.

I'd have loved to see more entries - considering the kind of talent that's been demonstrated in the stained glass projects, there had to have been a lot more than two people with wonderful ideas!

Regards,

Katreeny

Oh, *ouch*! Have you been able to get your entry back so we can at least see it?

at least 20 bad sectors. My employer tried to copy things over, but computers won't recognize it at all. Then I needed to throw away $200 yesterday for a new battery...

bad laptop. bad bad bad.

It was going to be good too. I was expounding upon the death of Ashem (I think that was his name, at least.), the prince who was in the Guild of Healers. He went to this age called Dovahno where he was actually assasinated by the Age equivalent of nationalists: People who didn't want anything to do with D'ni. Then the government covered it up and pretended that he had died of disease.

You should put it back together and post it anyway, just so people can see it.

So, the obvious winner is Entry B, the Age of Fantasy by Jennifer P.!

She's the winner of a copy of Creative Suite 3 Design Premium for Windows. That's $1799 worth of cutting-edge Adobe graphic design software!

We'll be putting the entries together in a PDF file that will be available on the Myst Embassy website :)

Good grief, for that kind of prize, if I would have known, for sure I would have participated (although there must have been an non-US clause to the contest?)
