Hey guys, I've always wanted to see more of Gahreesen's wildlands, and I decided the other day to whip up a quick Corel image to show what that might look like... I wanted it to look prehistoric and massive. I even put a guy in there for scale. Is the landscape at all recognizable?

There's so much more to Gahreesen to see, in spite of the dangers of wildlife, etc. I wish Cyan would show us glimpses of more.

I see the Age in that too, but it's a bit too photo-realistic for me, El Calam. Still, close-ups are a feast for the imagination! Gracias!

Very Nice Calam;

Luscious colors; great detail; and the sharpness is all the more delightful, since the game cannot reproduce it.

An IC comment might note that while the valleys in Gahreesen could possibly be more tropical, the normal climate suggests a drier, much more sub tropical -- if not quite arid -- landscape:

In a much more OOC vein, not only is the aridity emphasized here:

but the hill in the back ground is seen doing double duty in both pics:

Good stuff, Calam; give us some more of the interiors, that Cyan can't get around to.

Gorgeous work, Calam. I admire anyone who can create graphic art. It's something I've always wanted to learn. Keep up the beautiful work!

The arid-ness in those pics seem to be more a result of the color settings on the monitor the pictures were taken on. When I see Gahreesen in-game, it looks lush and green, and the trunks of the trees look dark brown, and the leaves are dark as well. Your brightness settings must be very high, because I've always assumed that Gahreesen was a dense jungle. The sparsity of vegitation in that area may be more due to the rocks than the climate.
