This is a sort of tribute to Uru, and all its awesomeness. As you can see from the title, it plays off of the "you are you" theme.

It can be found here.

This is my first video of any kind, so it's obviously not perfect. Oh well. It was just for fun. :)

Thanks to Andy Legate for helping me film, and to everyone else who helped out by appearing in it. :D

WOW! New Talent!

Great song, and content in keeping with the Theme. A truly imaginative creation.
Two Thumbs up!
Keep up the good work Dalken. :D

I know! But I guess 'Exploding Chocolate Orange Productions' was too long.

Exploding, and chocolate oranges. Makes perfect sense to me! :D

Outstanding Dalken!!! You get a standing ovation from me, especially the beginning of the video! Very original thinking and a great way to show how we leave our real lives to visit the Cavern and Ages!

Wow.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone! :D This makes me want to make another video!

As for "Exploding Orange Productions", that arises from a couple of in-jokes that Gondar somewhat elaborated on.

Thanks again everyone! Now I have to scrounge up ideas for a new video... 8)

It's amazing how surprising it is to see someone in real life after seeing their avatar so much.

They never quite look like you think they will...

Dalken ~

Great video! I enjoyed watching it!

I was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing with me how you created it! I have been trying to find out how to create them myself. I use fraps but the avi files are much to large.

I'd appreciate any pointers you can give. :D

Thanks
~Z

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D

I actually got some help from Andy Legate in that area. He suggested I use .wmv formatted files, which are much smaller. I'm not quite sure how you specifically would convert them, though. My computer has huge space on it though, so it could handle the other .avi files that I had recorded (the shots that Andy recorded were sent to me already in .wmv format so that they could be sent faster and more easily).

As for assembly itself, I used ArcSoft's ShowBiz. It's really quite easy to figure out, and has quite a few features.

For recording, I also use Fraps.

So, I guess I'd suggest trying to somehow save/convert your video files to .wmv format to save space.

As for the actual specifics in the creation process...it's kinda hard for me to explain. Some things I grabbed because I thought they were cool, and some shots I recorded because they fit in with the song or the message of the video. For this particular video, I actually started with the song as the basis and went from there.

Hope that helps!
