Great work, Doobes; I'm glad you're developing this and agree it's the best interim solution.

I really like the way the light shafts are streaking across the pillars. But that effect seems inconsistent in these (WIP, I know) shots.
I'm coming in late here, but the nice thing about projection lights is that the lights' patterns are baked into everything the lights would fall upon in the scene.

If you're having trouble with Projection Spotlights, I had some many years ago.

After a LOT of empirical testing, I learned that by dividing the desired Spot cone angle by something just over 3, and inputting that value in Blender, I was able to get projection spots to work.

D'Lanor sent me the PyPRP code handling Projection Spots, and sure enough, I found an unnecessary multiplication-by-pi that was the culprit. D'Lanor later ...but I don't know whether that unwanted pi was later fixed - or was it perpetuated into Korman?

FWIW...which at this point is likely "not much".

Wow everything looks so great, unique book stand, lots of places to explore, several options on expansion, even a few places that you wanna explore but cant leaving just enough to the imagination. (always leave them wondering and they never loose interest) Its coming along wonderfully.

Thank you
Your bringing new hope to a very old world.

One question, are you going to have a special stamp/seal design for fan age created books?

As I've said before its looking good. I think the red lighting looked better than the yellow though.

Have to agree with Tweek on the red lighting. It was more moody and MYSTerious.

I like the most recent picture with the brighter lights. It's a beautiful space and it would be nice to be able to be able to see it well in good lighting.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. While I liked the red lights, I had to agree with others: there was just too much red. :P Vothol Gallery makes it work, but this library needed a touch of other colors.

I think I've finalized the lighting...at least around the bookcases. Have a look:

Fantastic. I'm impressed. Can't wait to get that onto Minkata. ;)

Wow, that's some lovely detail work, Doobes.

Just one more thing to add now: cabinet doors on all the bookcases so that explorers will go to each and every one of them and open the doors looking for books.
