I'm quite sure a few people from the GoW are working on new Ages - whether they intend on submitting them to MOUL is another matter.
Personally I'm working on several Ages of various sizes. As of now I'm not really constrained to any engine in particular, since none of these Ages are yet in their final phase.
I use Unity a lot because exporting to it is a piece of cake, and it allows me to setup and edit lighting in real time - this is a BIG improvement over Uru's engine. That said, I could use Korman to export to pretty much any version of Uru. But Unity is much easier for now, since I don't need to optimize my meshes or bake lighting, or whatever (and that step just drives me nuts).

Anyway, no need to rush anything yet, Cyan is completely taken with Obduction. If they don't have time to fix MOUL's account creation interface, I doubt they even have the time to grant FACL. But that doesn't prevent you from creating Ages, fortunately.

Cskid, creating an Age is a complex process, but with your motivation I'm sure you could handle it ! As Doobes and Tweek pointed out, learning is long, but the result is worth it.
And you learn ten times as fast if you study a bit how things are done in modern games - how they blend textures together, how they use lighting to change the mood of the environment, etc.

My first Ages were so bad I never actually took any picture of them (at least, not of the bad ones ;) ). But after a few years of messing up with Blender (even occasionally), I've become quite good at doing things...

Modelling is actually rather fast - a small Age can take just a few days, assuming you have enough ideas of how it should look, and enough time on your hands.
Texturing, though, is another matter.
Texture-hunting is really time consuming. Then you have to edit the textures in GIMP so they look fine. Then you have to put them on your models, and often combine several on top of each other so they look fine. This can take twice or thrice the time you spend on creating the models.
Then you have lighting. Setting it up in Blender is a piece of cake. Exporting it is another matter. There is a lot of optimization and "baking" required, which are both tricky and time consuming.

The idea is to not give up. And even if you can't match Cyan's visual quality, you can still make an awesome Age, if it's big enough.

Yep that is Fahets, and I do plan on having grass sharks in the Age.

That map is a little old now, I have since named all the landmasses and constructed lore for them (some quite in depth some not so much).

Wow... Tweek, that picture of the current-in-progress age is... Just...

Seeing it brought back that feeling I first had when I first set foot in Kadish Tolesa when URU first came out, back when I was just a wee little kid and full of awe and amazement at everything around me. Just one picture has stirred that whole quintessential "URU" vibe. I haven't felt that feeling in a *long* time now.

While I've felt similar from a few other games, none of it's come close to that resounding pound in the chest of seeing something so tantalizing, so amazing, so epic looking and so... so....

I really, really want to explore it!!

(Also, I think I might just have a new desktop background...)

Well I posted a rough draft for the fan age library about a month ago for the gateway team to download, inspect, suggest, criticize, or what-ever since then Its been downloaded about 16 times, unfortunately there has been no reply yet, I assume everybody is just to busy with real life issues for the time being, but we still have our hopes up.

Im still working on making improvements here and there hopefully fan ages are still an option somewhere down the line whether this on makes it in only time will tell. the most important thing is I had fun doing it. so either way it was worth it

There needs to be something new added to MOUL;a. As is there are no door runs anymore cause there are not enough people.

AT BARE minimum, the sign in process from the Gehn shard, where at least I can see before going thru a time wasting exercise that no one is there.

If not, and nothing is close to inclusion, return the software to the state is was 3 years ago, where glitches ruled, and a lot of people were having fun.
