What an absolute treat.
One of the nicest things I have heard or seen.
Very well done.
The music is flawless.
Thanks for the great post.

Lovely! Thank you!

Where were the underwater scenes? And, how did you get under the water?

Shorah,

GorenDeBree, very nicely done indeed! :D

Kiko Kea, it looks like Goren visited four different Ages, Er'cana, Dereno, Eder Kemo and Eder Gira. You can't go underwater in MOULa but can do so in UruCC by using a hack which we aren't allowed to talk about here on the forums. You can find out more about it at the Guild of Writers web site.

Thank you, Ainia. I've been away from my Myst world too long and am far behind, it seems!

Ainia is partly right. She got the "ages" part right. Goren must have used an internal client inside MOULa to shoot his scenes.

Since Dereno is not inside URU:CC (... 8) ), the shooting occured in MOULa.

It's a very lovely video Goren and very nice music score :D .

Your video shows how detailed Cyan went for objects or sceneries (like Er'cana's sea & mountain range) that we were never supposed to get close to. This is why I've always went beyond the normal grounds with skydiving and/or with magic (like you did for this video).

I guess I can't say anything that's not already said.

Wonderful video. Nuff said. :D

Shorah again,

It's possible to use the tool I mentioned to load the MOULa ages into UruCC, so it's also quite possible to visit Dereno outside the pod from UruCC (I've done this a number of times in the course of my zoological research). I assumed you knew this too, Annabelle. Ah we'll...

Bottom line, there are two known ways to shoot those scenes. Perhaps GorenDeBree will choose to enlighten us. (Or perhaps this will remain a mystery!) :D

Well, I must confess, Annabelle is correct.
But, she already knew about the internal client
I used the advanced camera functionality along with Frapps.
Then used the movie maker editor and music sync.
There are many beautiful things in the Ages,
most explorers never get to see them in their fullness.
Glad everyone is enjoying the music video

Oh Dear... I know all about it. I'm just sneakily making ice skating around it to avoid a "No-No" by one of the moderators around

Maybe something I did know that you couldn't be aware of, Goren is on my buddies list and I remember having a talk with him about the use of internal client. 2 + 2 = 4

Absolutely beautiful. Wish there was some way for the average explorer to get to these places and see this. The time the creators took to make such beautiful scenery only brushes the surface of what The Creator did when He made the world. Such beauty, most will never see.

To be fair, if the average explorer could get there then it wouldn't be special. I've been off the beaten track using one of the unauthorised tools, and it is enlightening. Their use requires a little knowledge over and above what's needed to run MOUL and the confidence to use them. The video would not be half so interesting if it was full of tourists :)

Muttley (AlanD) is right. I can understand Angelmyst's will. Cyan is the one to blame  .

No... Seriously, we can also see it from a logical point of view: if you were inside a botanical garden and you see a lily pond with coi fish in it. How do you react? I'm pretty sure everyone, including myself, would just stare at the fish from above and be happy with the scene offered before their eyes. Apart from small children without inhibition, no one would just think: "Hey, let me dive in the pond to see the fish from below".

And you really have to think that Goren made "cautious moves" and videos are good to present the "good side of things"

I can tell you that few pixels from where Goren filmed Er'cana beautiful sea & mountain range, you wouldn't have been so impress

Goren really made an awesome video exploiting in a nice & artistic way the internal client adding his musical score on top of that.
