I have come up with a crude version of Gehn's Cannen.
I made it to play my musical compositions on.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks.

Cool!

It's a lot like a little app that could be downloaded from (I think) Lonelyto25's website. It would play the Riven soundtrack cd, if it was inserted into your PC, and worked the same way as yours.

WOW  :!: :D

So far I have only been able to listen to Shroomie's Lament due to leaving for work. This is excellent! Love the sound.

I found the the "D'ni CD" program and uploaded it to this location, in case anyone's interested. The accompanying ReadMe file can be found here.

Note I made the app nor the file.

edit: Grrr, stupid links! Well, it should work by copy-pasting these into your adress bar:

Hmm. You couldn't eh?
It has a hotspot on either side of it. Clicking on the one on the right advances the track, the one on the left plays the previous track.
Perhaps I made the hotspots too small.

Interesting ideas.

i am wondering about the Notes on installation and operation of
D'ni CD 1.2 By Gabe Bauman program which was posted in this thread with a link the read me says:

"It features audio and images from Riven."

Riven is copyrighted by Cyan Worlds as are all the contents and I did not see any copyright statement in the Readme, which makes this, possibly, a copyright infringement.

It looks to me like the only audio are the buttons clicks and the images are the cannen itself, which can be found on many a website... It may be a extremely slight copyright infrigment but I doubt Cyan would have a big problem with it.

Which doesn't mean I won't remove the links if they do, of course.

Cool, i think both are very imaginative and neat ideas. And I did not have time to check out the content of the riven player. I continue to be amazed by the creativity of the community here. :) LinkinImp's music is really nice indeed.

Yeah thats a good idea darkling. Music is definitely something which I'm a little sad is missing from the new stuff in Uru, the right little piece of music at the right time adds so much to the atmosphere of the myst games. I hope cyan will be able to start incorporating music into their new stuff again.

Very cool thanks for sharing. I especially like Shroomie's Lament. Can't wait to tell her that she's famous. :D

I particularly liked Dereno. It sounds like one of my pieces, minus the loop.
