Writters of an age not long passed

As of late, I have been thinking a lot about Until Uru, the good ol’ days. When I come to the cavern, I rarely hear people talk of the good ol’ days. I hear folks talk about the DRC all the time. They talk of the prologue. They talk about current events, but rarely the time in between. Some will claim nothing happened. That people were only waiting. But more recently I was reminded about a time that should never have been forgotten. Never have been ignored

About two years ago, a secret was found by a few dedicated explorers.
That secret was, of course, the art
In the coming months, these explorers wrote ages.
Ages that we all could visit.
Some that we could even visit together…

Soon after, these people created stories for their ages
But these most of stories had little to do with the common explorer
Many did not even care about these stories
Most just saw it as content
But many saw something more…

I remember exploring the city when the stories came
He came into the Shard with a new tale every night
He spoke of ages none could visit
But he brought us there with every telling
And while we enjoyed his stories.
We did not know if he was real…

The ages continued to flow
We continued to visit
But that was about the end
When Cyan returned
The ages
Disappeared
The Man
Disappeared
A need for creativity
Disappeared
We had what we wanted
Content
But at what price?

In the land of the heart
all is made real,
the wandering storyteller
glens the Ages
for sparks of light;
the happenstance
art of night and moon
comes and goes,
but the art of telling
never ends
always begins
in a place
where only the few,
the explorers go:
the realm of adventures
beyond woe,
in the Lands of Whipperginny,
where all manner of beast
and foe are well met
by the hearty fools of Love
who stand ready against
adversity to ride the mind
to the gates of Time,
where as we all know
the Stranger, the Teller,
the Once again helmsman
of all our enchanted tales
awaits each and every one of us
with a tale all our own,
to inhabit and enjoy,
explore and discover,
in times without Time...
