Forgive me if you have already tried.
But did you ever send them a e-mail asking if you could make a patch app proggy?

IMO If Cyan wants to see more accounts being made equils "Hopefuly" more Donations!!!
They should, NO NEED to allow this!
It would go figure, if they did not.

OR -- Release the server binaries for the New UrU/MoulA Human D'ni Explorer Shard Network!
Then DEVs from the Maintainers, Writers & Guilds connected to Cyan would evaluate and test
your patch/fix/MOD-AGE etc. etc. But the real cool thing is that you could run your own shard to test in to your hearts content!

*******Cyan if you really want,,, I MEAN REALLY want your child to live and grow,
I believe this is that magic Seed*******

I've sent a number of patches to Cyan. In some cases they thanked me and said that when they had time to actively work on Uru again, they would take a closer look. In other cases, they have never responded.

We've sent them PRP fixes for the Minkata sparkly, and received no response.

That link is still there, but I will likely add a mirror to my own server (the one hosting the PlasmaClient site) the next time I work on this and do a release. Obviously the bigger project has taken up most of my time lately.

Is it possible to make C++ exe's which don't require external libraries and have everything embedded in the exe like other languages can do? If so that would be simpler than users having to download the right VC distributable.

With Delphi i can choose if i want to make it so users have to have Delphi's re-distributable files or if it compiles the stuff it needs from them into the exe.

Of course it's possible. The libs just have to be built as static libs and not dynamic.

It can be built static, certainl - but it does make the executable several megabytes larger. My original idea here was that I'd be constantly adding new resetters for various bugs and whatno, and thus constantly releasing new version. In that case, the single download of the runtime would be faster in the long run for people who were updating, as they'd only be downloading it once - especiallly people with slower internet connections.

Obviously what then happened was PlasmaClient, which is where 95% of my plasma-coding energy goes now, and without those regular updates to this tool the separate download doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
