The question of your hand covering the screen really isn't a problem. (Trust me, I have big hands.) The only serious interface hitch I ran into was the game registering a drag when I was trying to tap-and-hold -- sometimes I tried to move and "got stuck". They should be able to tune that in an update.

OK, guys, I need help. I've downloaded the game, and the sound doesn't work, or if it does it is haphazard, such as sound up to pushing the imager button, but Rand's dulcet tones are missing, although his mug is very much there. I've tried to register at Cyan's support, but I've got to confirm my account according to an email I was supposed to have received. I've resent the email two or three times, but no go. I remember having a similar problem the day MOULa was launched, i.e. no email with instructions.

I got my Fathers' Day gift three days early. I've always enjoyed RealMyst as my preferred way to replay Myst. Looks beautiful on the iPad (3rd), although I do have to borrow it from my son. I don't mind the finger on the screen, kind of like the interactive Skittles videos on You Tube ... well not quite.

I hope it will be successful for Cyan.

I hope so too, not least because I'd like to see it released on any other Unity-supported platform (since I have those).

Bought it yesterday, just to review - I didn't have high expectations - I was, however, surprised at how half-hearted the port was. The very common loading screen are a serious problem (and I'm not talking about when you link to a different Age), whenever I opened doors on Myst Island, I got a little loading bar.

Its laggy, the texturing is awful, too.

And I know for sure it has at least one poor review on the app store - at least on the Aussie store.

And yay, they replaced the lovely day/night cycles with a "day/day cycle".

And yeah... The control scheme is as unwieldy as I had suggested it would be. I'd recommend staying away from this one =/

I played about halfway through- I actually really like it. Aside from the loading bars, it actually looks really nice. Sure, there are little annoyances, but I think it's great.
As for the control scheme- it took me about 5 minutes to get used to, but now it seems really fluid and natural. I highly recommend this app.

The Aussie store has two 5-star ratings, two 2-star ratings, and two 1-star ratings, for an aggregate rating on the app store of 2.5 stars.

Looks like aussies are not terribly happy with Cyan's latest offering. One of its earlier 5-star ratings is now a 2-star rating now, too.
