Well if you look here

http://webdb4.patent.gov.uk/tm/text?searchtext=URU&typeofsearch=S&classselected=99&crosssearch=Y&statusselected=A

They are listed,. I think they must be able to coexist or something. I don't understand how it all works because I'm a dunce

and the US ones are here:

http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=toc&state=qss83d.1.1&p_search=searchss&p_L=50&BackReference=&p_plural=yes&p_s_PARA1=&p_tagrepl%7E%3A=PARA1%24LD&expr=PARA1+AND+PARA2&p_s_PARA2=uru&p_tagrepl%7E%3A=PARA2%24COMB&p_op_ALL=AND&a_default=search&a_search=Submit+Query&a_search=Submit+Query

I don't think it's not allowed to have the same name for two entirely different things. Especially, as JKC noted, since URU is a sumerian word meaning "city" or "deep" (or both, in this case).

Yeah, for example, Apple Computers basically doesn't own the word "apple," but if a group is named Apple and has to do with computers, then there's an issue.
