Not too long ago, a friend of mine said this to me: I used to be an explorer like you, but then I took an arrow in D'ni.

Love it!!!
I can just see this thread taking on a life of it's own.
/me thinking furiously of something witty to add and failing miserably at this late hour.

Huh? I must be missing something here.

Skyrim reference. Numerous guards say, "I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took an arrow in the knee." My friend then offered the version in the OP.

You also have to pronounce D'ni like Yeesha does (deNee), or Esher (Ducknee). I always say Dunny like Atrus, so it took me some time to get that pun.

A Skyrim reference? Oh my, I believe that I have misunderstood the "direction" of the thread with my not being very familier with that game. I assumed it was about a really, really bad pun about MOULa, in general. The kind that induces a lot of groans at how really bad the attempt at humor is. A good "punster" is in a "weight class" of their own. 8)
D'ni = the knee. An arrow in the knee would tend to keep an injured explorer off of their feet and therefore not be able to continue to explore.
@ dgelessus - Yeah, I forgot about that one. It's a classic. 8)

So, as a guard, can you take an arrow in D'ni agehn? or does some magic forcefield protect you from ever receiving such a wound again?

When that happens do you pull up your hood and go sit in a corner?
