Curious know about the licensing code issues,
with respect to just when do those licenses run out?
And if and when they do, would the codes still be worth using or putting back in?

How does this effect using the Marker Editor?
Confused about this thread not completely understanding the reason to implement these changes.

I assume you're referring to the license issue mentioned in the first post of the thread: The short answer is "never". The code that was removed requires a paid license that is not compatible with incorporation in an open source project in any form.

The issue only relates to in-game video (which was really only used for the intro video) so should have no effect whatsoever on the Marker Editor.
