Shorah!!
Sorry, I am not good at English.
When it can be understood that I say to everybody, I am glad. :)

The PC which my family owns can play all Myst series, but cannot play only realMyst.
I do not understand a reason why we cannot play only realMyst.
I can see it to the movie of the opening.
However, a game is finished when I click the book which fell.
I tried a compatible mode of XP, but was no use.

The specifications of the PC which we use are like that:

1) Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P8700 @ 2.53GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.5GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Display Devices
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce G210M
Chip type: GeForce G210M

2) Windows 8.1 64-bit (6.3, Build 9600)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5200U CPU @ 2.20GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.2GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Display Devices
Card name: Intel(R) HD Graphics 5500
Chip type: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family

3) Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 10586)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4710HQ CPU @ 2.50GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.5GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
DirectX Version: 12
Display Devices
Card name: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600
Chip type: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family

We play realMyst, what is not enough? :(
Is there necessary codec? :?:

Thanks,
Grape

Its a game made to run off an older operating system, a few thing to try

build a PC with widows XP and keep it off-line, I find its handy for Age creation and some of the older classic games

and

there is a lot of information on this topic, I searched the net for "realmyst patch windows 7"

and good luck, its a great game

Shorah Karkadann!!
Thank you for replying. :D

I downloaded a modified patch.
However, such an error message was displayed and was not able to install it. :(
Patch Error
Old File not found. However a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match.

Following this message, such Information was displayed.
Information
realMYST 1.1.1 patch was not completed.

I checked it in various ways, but it seems to be very difficult to play realMYST by Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10. :?

Thanks,
Grape

There are various ways to try to run older games on new computers: You could try to set up a virtual system running an old OS. Or you could try to get it with on of the many emulators or WINE running on a Linux system.

Thank you very much!! :D
I downloaded a Steam version and tried setup in various ways.
The game started definitely when I did so it. :D :D
It went with all PCs well!!
(Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10)

But it is English version.
A disk version was a Japanese edition, but decided to give this up.
