If any of you are new to Myst and Uru, then you might not have heard of this artist before. Behold:
This is the same Richard Vander Wende who designed and directed Riven.
This is the same Richard Vander Wende who first approached Robyn and Rand in shorts and a t-shirt at a media conference way back in 94.
This is the same Richard Vander Wende who the brothers mistook for a "kid".
This is the same Richard Vander Wende who changed and defined the Myst series and Cyan permanently, in both their art, and with the whole concept of puzzles-not-for-puzzles sake and visual storytelling.
This is also the same Richard Vander Wende who came up with the idea of merchandising the Myst name, and yes my friends, this is the same Richard Vander Wende who designed such icons as the Moiety Dagger, the Wahrk, the Moiety Hive, the Sunners, the Fire Marble Domes, and Gehn's Throne Room.
