I thought I had replied to this one, but I guess I just voted.

Goldridge, a rural area just outside of Cullman, Alabama. Cullman is known for having the world's only dry Oktoberfest  , and is located about halfway between Birmingham and Huntsville.

Previously, I've lived in Opp and Tuscaloosa and was born in Birmingham, all of which are in Alabama.

Guess that makes me a hillbilly, maybe even a redneck :), but a college educated redneck.

You mean an Oktoberfest without Beer of any type? Somehow that just doesn't seem right :) That would be like a plain hotdog without mustard, or Thanksgiving without Pumpkin Pie, or ........ I think you catch my drift :)

Well at least you don't have to worry about people passed out under the tables :)

Yep, cause it's a dry county.

Amarillo, Texas USA

It's flat, dry and very windy here. We do have the second largest canyon in the States, which makes for some good hiking & mountain biking. Otherwise it's the usual Texas stuff - lots of big trucks and people saying "yall" all the time.

Hi everyone,

I'm new here and from Midlands, UK. I was also the 1000th person to register on these boards, woot!

I'm a huge MYST fan although I don't claim to know all the intricate back story details etc. Just love the genre, the game and the worlds.

Looking forwards to getting in to URU live properly as the day I created an account was the day AFTER it had closed down. How gutted was I?

Leelu.
