Hey, wouldn't it be cool to have stuff that we could kick around in the water? You know, we could stack things up so we could walk on them and cross the stream without getting wet. And we'd have to find the kickable stuff and kick it into the water, and...

Why can't us guys wearing a beard in real life have one in MQO?

Yeah, and being one of those men with an upside down head (a beard and bald) I was a bit disappointed in the absence of both features from the avatar customisation. I set it aside though, on the basis I felt that the intended age range for MQO wouldn't really include that many folks who wanted to look like Ming the Merciless  On the other hand it's a bit of fantasy, so is it unreasonable to have your avvie look completely unrealistic?

I moaned about the absence of the "build" slider from the last couple of builds too, but JW pointed out that allowing the build to vary might mess with the new belt. In turn, that probably impacts the casting animation, so I can see a justification for having a uniform body shape. But the same doesn't apply to features like hair (whether on the chin, upper lip or the top of your head).

I think there are three sliders to adjust the shape of the nose: But those make small differences that don't really help you identify another player at any kind of distance, which made me wonder if there was no particular thought that this was an important feature; no concept of "community" for MQO - players that would meet up to play together :?

Maybe water renders the wand useless, or causes electrocution. Might make the water spirits angry.

Maybe it's not "water" - something killed all the growth on the far side of the stream...

Mine works 1680 X 1050 just fine. Or did you mean the Willow video, which has pillars?

The last time I checked, I only had 2 choices and they were standard, not wide.
Honestly I didn't check with the 1.1052 build. Yesterday was my first chance to
get into that build. I'll check again with this new build today.

I'm running widescreen too, although the resolution slips my mind. (I'm at work at the moment.) But it works great!

I'm running Vista 32 bit. This build, in the Graphics Settings, now gives me 3 choices: 800x600, 1024x768, and 1280x720. The build before only gave me the two 4:3 choices. I have it on a 32in widescreen, but the resolutions mentioned above are not in the game's graphics settings in the build I have 1.1060.

Rik, the game resolutions must be tied to your monitor resolutions. I'm on the latest build on a 24" widescreen. My left-hand resolution is 800 * 600, my middle one is 1280 * 960 and my right-hand one is 1920 * 1200. Vista x64.

You should get other resolutions as you drag.

Once again, you are right, Rusty. I checked on my XP with a 20" widescreen and the graphics settings have about 8 choices, the highest being about 1620x1020 (I don't remember exactly). The max resolution on my 32" Vista, is 1360x768 but that is not in the game graphic settings. Just the 3 that I had mentioned. Anyway in a previous build I only had 4:3 ratios available, and that's why I made a request. Nevermind.

sinkillerj, this is a very helpful thread. I wonder if it would also be helpful to add something about whether we need to begin at a certain domain, like Twisted Forest, or leave the domain blank. After being away for some time, I can't tell if things have changed to the point where I need to start over or start at a new/blank/group domain.

This might be a dumb question, but.... is there a "group" domain?
