Cully, your link is wrong.

JW, again I am not looking for advice on how to go about signing up for MQOnline.

I am reporting to you what could happen to anyone visiting the magiquest.com website and clicking on the header button "MQ ONLINE".
Please re-read my post in that light. There is no wrong link.

Ok, got that. You're concerned about regular visitors to the main, live site. The test site is more up to date for MQ Online and will be pushed to live for Launch. The test site is really where to get meaningful fixes to problems. Yes, that means people visiting the main site might see problems, but the test site is where the attention needs to be.

Sorry, but I think if you care about retaining any eager young Mages' interest, attention also needs to be paid to the main website's MQO teaser page. It's frustrating, messy and inaccurate to the point of potentially turning away future sign-ups.

Is this the proper place for website criticism?

You may want to mention on the signup page (http://test.magiquest.com/create-an-account/?mqonline=1) that the user name you choose there is also your publicly visible name in the forum (unless that is going to change).

If I had known that, I’d have chosen “CWalther” or “Christian Walther” (more human-readable) rather than “cwalther” (quicker to type). I went through the registration expecting that I could later choose my public human-readable name for all services independently of the login name, since that’s how it works in the game and on the support site.

Hi JanB, I played so far in Blorfloog (remember don't worry about capitalization of the first letter). I figured it would likely be the "Testers" realm.

Christian, good point. You can just create another account for now since it doesn't cost anything.

Yes I fiist did my solo "walkthrough" and payed a visit to blorfloog too.
I quess too it might be a testers rendez vous realm, but you cannot exclude that others might pay a visit there too.
So even when playing there we still have to be carefull about what we are saying.

I don't know.
Since this thread titled "Is it MQO Yet?" had evolved into an examination of the public beta, my topic seemed to qualify just as well as any of the current discussion does.

If you suggest a better ongoing thread to post comments such as mine above, I'll repost there.

If you think I should start a new thread to do so, I'll do that.

Only if a beta tester tells them the name :P

Blorfloog is one of the session options, so anyone might choose it.

There is already a thread I started in August last year. Good idea. I'll bump it.

My Bloorfloog session options have gone now. . . just the MQOSession1-10, so Bloorfloog would have to be typed in as an option. Isn't it now the same for everyone?

Someone correct me if I am wrong but the sessions you have typed in manually only show up for you on your local computer. They are not public for all to see.

That's how I understand it to work, DL, so new players don't even get the Bloorfloog option. If I create a new session, let's say MyLaLaLand, only I can see it (unless I tell someone else the name and they type it in manually too).

I think I've now logged into MQsession 1 so often since the 'new' beta that my Blorfloog sessions have dropped off the bottom of my list.
