It looks like the files are deleted. Are you sure you have no other anti-spyware or anything running besides Norton?

If only logging was enabled someone could have a look at your patcher log file...

Running as administrator, .exe is on desktop, firewall and antivirus are off - and no difference at all. Those five files never complete. Help please.

Perhaps you need to turn off Windows Defender? Seems unlikely that Defender should block the Launcher, but I can't think of anything else...

Windows Firewall is off. (Vista x64). What's Windows Defender?

It's probably worth noting that my broadband is very slow - 768k (c87 KB/sec).

If you don't know what it is then it must be running. In Windows Vista it runs in the background by default.

Look under the Start menu under All Programs. As an administrator you should be be able to turn Windows Defender off.

That being said, I have no problems with Defender and MQ.

Is the EXE on your desktop or in a folder on your desktop? I ask cause originally mune was on my desktop and all the files downloaded to my desktop. The result being that it appeared that the exe had hung and thrown up on my desktop. Once I moved it into a separate folder, I was able to monitor the folder itself and see that it was growing.

Windows Defender is off.

I've tried desktop (c:\users\russell\desktop), a folder on the desktop (c:\users\russell\desktop\MQ), my d:\ drive (d:\MQ) and where I originally downloaded my exe (d:\vista downloads) and nothing has worked.

5 files grow to a certain point then get set back to 0, over and over and over again.

Rusty that sounds definitely like a bug to report to Cyan, as they want to know of any problems we have with install or getting in. sorry you are having that trouble

I recall this happening in MOUL, not sure what causes it. If it for some reason some part of the download gets corrupt it will have to download the whole thing again. This can be troublesome for large files.

This just loops on the same files. Because they never finish, it never does the rest.
