Failed to delete old patcher executable

Dled the launcher and started the download. I was on a slow connection and had to leave before all files had dled.

Tried to do it again the next day. Now I get the "Failed to delete old patcher executable. Access denied."

I deleted all files I could find and re-dled the launcher but the message is the same. I get a temp file in the folder, such as this one: MQLFF94, same size (576 kb) as the launcher.
Reading this in Notepad, I get, of course, some lovely computerese but also the message that "This program cannot be run in DOS mode." Perhaps just a reminder that I am using notepad?

Have tried to run the launcher as the administrator, have turned off UAC and still same old same old.

Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

Where did you install MQO?

I think for once we can take that error message literally. The patcher was updated and it is now trying to patch itself and somehow fails.

If you still have that temp file delete MQLauncher.exe. Then rename the temp file to MQLauncher.exe and run it.

Edit: btw, even if this works you still have to submit a ticket. The patcher should be able to update and relaunch itself.
