This was immediately obvious the moment I tried to set up and run through a demo of Uru to the MagiQuest owners.

Maybe you already addressed this question in another thread, but I cannot find it: what is your job at MagiQuest, JW? Or are you more of a liaison?

I am perfectly certain that JW can speak for himself, Robert, but this may shed a little light on the matter while you wait in eager anticipation of his answer ;)

Dang, because I came in late, I missed having access to those forums. :(
I've been told there's nothing important or of relevance there, but ... I'm an Explorer! Curiousity is killing me.

I just want to say there are two long time MystOnline community members that work for Creative Kingdoms (the makers of MagiQuest). wolfgrey (aka Luke) who already introduced himself as a MagiQuest designer at Creative Kingdoms (BTW, Luke came by the Cyan Worlds office a week ago and we gave him elevator access to the special lower levels).

But the other one that you might not have figured out is JWPlatt, who is the lead client software developer at Creative Kingdoms but also does a lot of other things... like sending me an email back in January of this year saying that Creative Kingdoms was looking to get into the online world and that Cyan Worlds and them could be a great match.

Thanks again, Sophia.

What Tai' didn't say is that I invited her to this MQO Beta, despite her not participating in MOUL Beta or Rehearsal, because of her significant and unwavering support of MOUL and various fun projects through all hardships and her growing technical experience in SL.

Next up - to quote Whilyam again:

Episodic? JWPlatt, you're the master of this, why didn't you kill that idea earlier? You've doomed us all!

I think if you'll look now at the website, the terms might be less frightening. ;)

NP, any time. Hijacking yet another thread, this might be a good place to ask. There are some members who have been extremely active in some guilds and proven themselves devoted to Uru and Cyan over the years, but, as far as I know, also came in "late" and never had access to the original Beta and/or Rehearsal. Is there a place we can suggest such people?

I suggest a PM to Chogon for advice on that.

Edit: Because you are under NDA, they cannot be told you are nominating them until they are accepted.

Thanks for the quote, Sophia, but I believe you've broken the NDA, now. :P

And, thanks for the kind words, JW (and the invitation).

Don't get me started on NDA and the endless (and I mean ENDLESS) discussions I remember so well from... er... another place under NDA  Let's just say: this community can sure theorize a subject (which really can be summed up in two words: shut up) to DEATH

For the (NDA trigger happy people, er, I mean) record: The forum I quoted from says "MQO: Beta" in the section "MQO BETA"

DINGBAT :P

Now I'm off to do some testing and hopefully submit a ticket or two

JWPlatt, from the website I cannot find anything referring to the evil episodes. Also, what about the rumors there will be light pellets and drug-addicts in flannel shirts?

Thanks for the answer, Sophia - and great job on giving Cyan Worlds this opportunity, JW!

[Tai'lahr - I also stopped reading the MQO Beta forums and had missed Chogon's post.]

Whilyam: I updated the OP to reflect the latest text on the MagiQuest Online page.

Yes, that's a good thing. ;) The MQ Online page now says at the bottom, "Welcome to MQ Online. Continue your journey or begin it now. MQ Online presents: “The Portal Adventure Series; Chapter One. The Clan Courtyard and Twisted Woods Realms.” Download Chapter One now at $9.99 for unlimited play and to earn special powers that you can use both online and in the real world at any MQ location."

The word 'episode' has been removed in favor of words like 'journey,' or 'series,' and 'chapter.' Within those, of course, are the Quests. And although it says "now," the download button is gray until launch.
