Jamey is one of the great supporters of the real URU MOUL spirit. There are many and I am very glad they will all soon have great news to enjoy.

Good news. The Laxman and Watson custom avatars have been located. They aren't likely to show up this weekend, but now there isn't anything stopping them from dropping by in the future, if need be.

:)

One word: Pellet points.

Oh, wait, I used that joke already. Well, make up a joke for yourself if you're so smart. :P

Wow - I didn't realize that when the characters had left the cavern, they took their avatars with them. How realistic!!

:D

This is great news, but I'm actually a little surprised that you would mention it since you must know that it could raise our expectations. Even though you qualified it with "if need be," I know it has raised my hopes for more story and I was resigned to believing that nothing else would happen with the DRC characters after this weekend.

It sounds like a good idea to keep our expectations as low as possible. Mark already hinted strongly that past the initial launch period Cyan's (and the DRC) presence in and around Live will be really minimal as they have other projects that require their attention.

Cyan has been generally more revealing and trusting in the "Beta" forums where they can mostly speak without regard to public veiw and story with people who've earned it, are more informed anyway, and shown reasonable care about expectations.

I would like to see an additional bone left for the public. Assuming CYAN still has any interest in considering Open Source as a way of expanding their URU universe, I'd love to see something like this on the DRC forum perhaps with their final "it's public now" post:

It was reported to Kodoma that blank D'ni books have made their way into explorer's hands and they are trying to utilize them to create ages. We should meet and discuss what this means at a meeting to be sheduled in the future.

My thought is that 42 seconds after the opening of the cavern some folks will be complaining it's not open source. A post like that would give them something IC to hope for.

Henry I think that is a good idea. When you first go into the assembly hall in I think it was the DRC hood from Phil's Relto
you were told to only use books with the DRC logo on them and that there were some unauthorized books found to use at your own risk. I think this does go along with the D'ni story.
