It's time for the spring classes!

Starting on Monday, March 4, 2012 and running through Wednesday, April 10, There will be two classes per week: Mondays at 9:00 AM KI time and Wednesdays at 10:00 PM KI time (22:00). shokhootahn Rehn will be teaching the Monday night class and shokhootahn shen will be teaching the Wednesday evening class. Classes will be held in-cavern at the Guild of Instructors' Hood. Each class wil start in the hood's classroom, but may not necessarily end there. The first class will last about 90 minutes. The remainder of the classes will last from 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the amount of Q & A during the lesson.

For those of you who have taken the 101 class and are interested in continuing your studies, the 201 class will begin in mid-March. The actual dates have yet to be determined.

We hope to see you there!

For those students who have missed a class and need a make-up session, please PM me here or see me in cavern and we will work something out -- either during the scheduled Office Hour or on another day / time. :-)

.shorah gah bigtotee (Peace and blessings.)

This article was introduced in GoMe.

I am sorry, but this part revised it and translated it.

March 4, 2012 → March 4, 2013
Monday night class → Monday morning class

Dear shokhootahn Rehn

I feel glad the reopening of your class. :)
It was July of the last year that I participated in the class for the first time.
And I came to look forward to a class of the every week.
I was surprised by the profundity of the world background of Myst while learning D'ni language.

I have finished 101 classes, but 201 classes think that it may be more difficult.
Because I must study English more!!

On an unrelated note, can I ask for some assistance from one of the language instructors?

I'm trying to get some Age names into "correct" D'ni. Perhaps I could meet one of you before/after one of the classes?

Let me know!

Was there a class yesterday? I got confused with the DST change and forgot to get online on time.
Any plans on repeating the lesson anytime? (Provided that Moula is back up and running, of course!) ^^

I missed it too. My game took about 40 minutes to update and by the time I got in everybody had left. I'd love to see a chat log if anybody has one available to post.

I'm very glad to see that Rehn is still giving these lessons and that the interest in taking them is still high. (Hoping they remain until I can find the time to attend a refresher course.) :)

Since there was no class last Monday morning due to the file server issue from the weekend, Lesson 2 will be held *this* week, today and Wednesday morning. The evening classes remain unchanged.

Thanks and have a great day!

Since I'll also be attending classes online for the Art Institute this quarter, It's more than likely I wont be able to 'attend' this class, but I'd like to learn more about the language. Are there any reference books or materials that I can use?

At the moment, the only source material is the syllabus at the Guild of Instructors' site. But it's by no means good for learning from. It was written to supplement the lessons themselves. Were the DLF site still up, I'd point you there... But it's gone for an unforeseeable amount of time, unfortunately.

I've been looking through my own treasure chest on my computer and found the following resources that I've been aware of so far below ... :P

This is very old, but quite comprehensive, and there is also a German and a French version of the contents ...
The D'ni Student with all the awesome lessons I found still available through the wayback machine ... I'd say, this is the most comprehensive one ...
The DPWR archive has something as to D'ni Language/D'ni Mathematics and some interesting translations for your own exercises ...
Hehe, and here you can download a neat small app to practice D'ni numbers ...
Ok, and for the sake of completeness, the already to almost everybody known and cherished D'ni Dictionary ...

There might be a few sites more, but not so very comprehensive, a tidbit here and there, like this, and I don't have the time to check them all right now ...

Yeah, that's all I could find so far ... I hope that helps for all enthusiastic D'ni students and those not being able to attend the courses ... :D
