This is a repeat of what I wanted to do in May, but the Cavern wasn't working at start time. The pause was actually good, as I've improved the playlist.

Title: "Achieving Tomorrow"
Date: August 30
Time: 11:00 KI time (10A Pacific, 1300 Eastern US)
Location: Guild of Greeters 'hood light garden
Duration: 4.5 hours
Shoutcast channel: http://rel.to/ktdn (VLC player won't work, any other player will)
Direct address is http://amberhorizons47.serverroom.us:5528

It's a journey of sorts, an extended mediation in the words and worlds of many singers. It's long but there are breaks built-in. There are some opportunities to dance.

Notice is a bit short, but this is the last free Saturday I'll have for a while. It's now or November.

Leader will start about an hour beforehand. If the Cavern is down at 10A the leader will continue. If the Cavern is still down at 11 KI time, I'll continue playing leader until 1130.. If it's still down then, the attempt will be terminated because I have another event afterward.

Recommendations:
1. Have a lyrics site at hand, as the words are important to this. I've selected songs with an ear toward comprehensibility, but some are unavoidably complex.
2. Please be gentle. This playlist has been in the works for several years, is subtle, made of feelings and words, and wants an open mind.

This program is like a story, in that it will be clearer if you're there at the start. I understand that some folks, for various reasons, start reading trilogies at the middle book. Here's a rough schedule of subset start times so that, no matter when you arrive, you'll have an idea of where we are.

Prologue: 11:00:00 KI time; (10:00 PDT, 13:00 EDT)
Part 1a: 11:22:00
Interlude: 12:07:00
Part 1b: 12:12:00
Interlude: 12:41:00
Part 2: 12:46:00
Interlude: 13:36:00
Part 3: 13:42:00
Interlude: 15:04:00
Closing: 15:11:00- 15:33:00

Times are approximate, and rounded to the nearest minute.

All times should be adjusted upward by 1 minute. A friend has sent me a clip that's perfect for this. Choices... :)

The Cavern is looking good. I took a look at our venue in the GoG 'hood, and all seems to be in order.

While this program has little to do with Uru directly, its roots are most definitely in the Cavern and its community. All of the experience built up doing roughly 500 shows is focused on this program, and it has been in development for about two years.

I need to thank my Saturday evening test audience. :)

It was our pleasure. :)

Btw, are you planning to send a notice to the D'ni Refugee group in SL or would you like for me to?

I hadn't thought of doing that, Tai. I don't know how many of them still come to the Cavern. By all means, send them a note, and thank you.

And thank you, Nev. I've had other things on my mind (Silk Road Journey rebuild is complete!) and just hadn't thought about the Messengers' calendar.

I'm afraid I might be late... having trouble logging in (Authentication Failed / Internal Error)... but I'm enjoying the music. :)
