Shorah, Explorers!

We have recently been getting quite a few reports on problems with localized content in the game. Users who have previously installed the boxed version of Uru (or Until Uru) on their machines in a language other than English have a registry setting that makes localized content appear in Uru Live as well. Having that registry setting is causing a number of inconsistencies and bugs that hamper your testing and our fixing efforts at this time. Although we are still looking at ways to support localized content for Uru Live, we want to put what focus we have into the default language (English) first.

We are going to make a change in the next update that will alleviate these localization problems by refocusing Uru Live to English. Since we are aware of the cause of the problems with localized content, we request that you do not test localized versions of Uru Live or report issues involving localized content until we turn our attention back to localization.

If you would like to change your registry before the next update, you can use this registry modifier: http://www.urulive.com/downloads/misc/UruEnglish.reg However, be aware that this change will also revert your boxed version of Uru (or Until Uru) back to English. (The change in the next update will not.)

Thank you so much, those of you that have brought the localization problems to our attention. And thank you, everyone, for such diligent testing so early in the testing phase.

Sincerely,
The Uru Live Development Team

We noticed that this fiile was actually changing the wrong reg file (it was changing Myst V reg keys). We have updated this file and users who experience these problem should now see this problem corrected for URU. Thank you everyone for posting about this oversite. For our next update, we are still plan on having this fixed without the need for this registry change.
