 Post subject: Updater refuses to work

I've tried this three times now. The first time it quit all by itself. Second and third times, I get the dreaded "This program has performed an illegal operation and will shut down" message before the updater even gets halfway.

Anyone know what might be going wrong?

same thing is happening to me, gets further every attempt but only getting to the R of Updating Uru after 6 hours then crashing is really starting to bug me :?

Have you run the installer? This sounds like the error people have been getting when they didn't update.

Yeeees... But then again, have they updated it since about 10 hours ago? I'm one of the newest, so I'm running on 9 anyway. Or going to be.

The update bar has just passed the first 'N' of 'Online' in the banner.

In theory you shouldn't need to run it again then, just people who hadn't pre-build 8.

Now it looks like I'll have to wait until morning, unless I can wangle a way past my parents...hmmm... I'll just tell them that it had a problem and needed to start again. Hopefully it'll get all the way this time. :evil:

And now it's done it again, and it didn't even get as far as it did last time. *sighs* Why do I get the feeling this isn't going to work... *tries again*

EDIT: W00T! I'm in! Now I just have to wait for the server to finish updating. ¬.¬
