Yes, the DRC members and contractors are all acted by Cyan employees.

TG might be clinging to his illusions.

But it's also possible, and I think Cyan has actually said, professional actors will be used either for DRC or other things. Not sure.

Or, D'ni and the city are real, Cyan works with the DRC who remain mostly incognito, and they have know about the city since the Zandi's discovered it some years ago, and the game is a portrayel of something very real and is meant to prepare people for the inevitable revelation that we have had a civilization living underneath our feet for thousands of years............, and they are all who they say they are, and we are all in for some big surprises......

More wonders there are under the sun than we may know or than we may have dreamed to say....

or words to that effect as I can't remember the quote or who said it.

Basically we are playing a game that all the other myst games are sposedly based off of. This is suposed to be the real reason that the original Myst was made...does that sound about right to everyone?

No, no, no. Atlantis is in another galaxy and is currently being occupied by a group of "robots"
-- who used to be led by Esher!!!
(Well, David Ogden Stiers anyway  ) http://www.scifi.com/atlantis/episodes/season03/0305/ Click on "Season 3", then "Progeny" for a pic of David "Esher" Odgen Stiers.

@ The Stranger:
The man who was in charge of the DRC before the cavern closed a couple of years ago was Dr. Richard A. Watson (now MIA), who was played by Richard A. Watson of Cyan (also known as RAWA). Although his voice (from the neighborhood), was done by David Ogden Stiers, who also did the voice of Zandi, and played Esher in Myst 5.

I think the other DRC members are played by actors hired by Cyan, as opposed to actual Cyanists. But I could be mistaken about that.
