So where is it.
According to your calculator it was suppose to show at 18:55
Still not there at 19:15

Or was that 18:55 suppose to be my local time as taken off my computer?
I'll know in another 30-40 minutes

The Tetsonot portal was right on time, taking into account the four minute discrepancy. My first avatar now has all four Pod Stones.

30 seconds to get to the cave. Touched the symbol and watched the wedge disappear. Step to the edge, got one foot in the air and was linked to GameTap error Age.
But the wedge was there when I got back to Relto. :lol:

I had a discussion with a Cyan employee. Cyan doesn't like the portal calculators because a calculator isn't the 'right' solution. The new calculators might be right because they use the knowledge from the map and Payiferen but the old ones were just brute force solutions. And they don't like the fact that people are spoiled by the calculators.

Since when has any Myst/URU game suppose to have been a linear experience or only had one "Right" solution to a puzzle. As long as your not hacking the files, if you solve the puzzle, that's what the game is about.

They would rather I be "spoiled" by hanging out pushing buttons for 15 or so hours waiting for something to happen. Like PoTS, flip a switch and wait 45 minutes.

I don't think so. Reminds me too much of my college days trying to do my labs over a 300BAUD modem.

Bring on the calculators and all hail the calculator builders. :D

But that's the way it was solved in the beginning and before the map the only way. Even with the map, somebody had to sit and get at least one portal time to be able to use the map.
So would you care to tell us your "correct" solution?

The 'correct' solution is to use the symbols and sun rays as a hint when the portal in Payiferen is suppose to open. The map in the museum and the clock pamphlet in the class room help to calculate the other portals.

Sorry but that hardly works when we get 2 pods and no map to start with. Or were we not suppose to solve anything until Cyan decided to release the "correct" hints and tips. Got to tell us this stuff up front or not put content out there for us.

Again; Myst/URU is not, never has been a linear game. Solve the puzzles anywhere, anytime, anyhow.

Can someone tell me where the portal for Tetsonot appears? Just trying not to miss it, and I know it varies from pod to pod as to where the portal appears within the pod itself.
