I'm a bit confused, I got all of the clothes, and made the pellets and they tested fine. I don't know what the KI light is though. I accidentally walked thru the giant shell into the bahro cave, and it was lit so I clicked the symbol on the wall and got the stone. It was as if I didn't even need the pellets because I didn't have to use them for anything.

Is this a bug or did I miss something?

Nope, you can solve the Age without needing any pellets for anything.

The pellets are a separate project for those who want to relight the lake in D'ni. :)
At the end of Er'cana, there is the pellet machine, a linking book, and a Bahro stone. Using the lniking book will take you to the Er'cana Silo in the Uran district of D'ni, where you can dump pellets.
I thought that book was just for the testing machine? And if it takes 4 hours for 5 pellets even with all of us, the lakes in BIG trouble. :-D

Ah, the power of numbers... Thousands of explorers have already been working on this for several weeks.

And nope, that is not a testing machine. You may have read that in a spoiler for the old single player game but that was wrong.

Sigh. Do we really have to play these games? "Ha, ha, ha, I know something you don't but I'm not telling, except for a hint to let you know how l33t I am compared to all you ignoramuses."

Where do you get the impression that I am playing games? Somebody was misinformed and I am trying to set the record straight.

I was using the old POTS walkthru from GOG because originally I couldn't find one for Live's Er'cana. Hence why I had to search the forums to find the Bahro cave since Ahonay isn't out yet. :-D

If it's not a testing machine, what is it? ;-)

If you really want a spoiler...
It is where we contribute to the lighting of the lake. This is for real and by no means a test.
So what do you call the machine if it is not a testing machine? The machine scans the pellet and registers its findings on a meter. I.e., the machine performs a test, which makes the machine a "testing machine". The purpose of the location where it is found or what happens to the pellet after the test is done does not affect the correctness of this description of the machine. The only good argument I can see for saying it is not a testing machine is if you have information that the primary function of the machine is something other than performing that test.

You can get your KI to light up like a flashlight by using a certain machine.
At the Key Machine in the Great Shaft. Put your hand in it, and the ki lights up for about 1 minute.
There was a time when several of the Bahro caves, including the one at the end of Er'cana, were so dark you could barely see. The KI light came in handy. However, I believe that was just a bug, and all the caves are quite well-lit now.

Sorry I don't do IC discussions. Just helping a neighbor out here. And the explanation seems good enough for him.

IC/OOC has no bearing on the matter. Your answer was half correct and half incorrect. The OP was half correct and half uninformed. Fortunately, the correct half of your answer fixed his uninformed half. Unfortunately, the incorrect half of your answer just served to confuse since it was in direct contrast to the truth.
