Well, I think I found the perfect solution to the too-much-redness. I've changed the forum theme to be really red, so when the red will be replaced by the original paper texture, you'll actually go "aaargh, way too yellow!" And then the problem will be fixed.

Much better!

Edit: Oops, back to the background that's too red now.

It could do with some more papery effects too! :P

It's nice...but I think it's not quite edgy enough. I think we need more red.

A touch of hazel would be nice in the background too ;)

Quotes don't work when replying to messages in a PM. They don't have a darker background, just appear as a regular text.

And... what a relief getting current background back from the horrible red

For those who simply can't get enough red, put the following in your browser's location bar and press enter:

Code:
javascript:n=document.getElementsByTagName("*");for(i=0;i<n.length;++i){n[i].style.background="#f00";n[i].style.color="#fff"}

Reload the page to go un-red.

There are two universal truths. One is that that joke never gets old, and the other is that you're always safe to say it, because nothing ever has enough cowbell.

Yeah. By the way, your reply needs more cowbell.

Helpful hint to keep the red out:

Press and hold on the F5 key to cause a constant refresh. The default background color (#F1DAB0) is much more pleasing, though not what I'd actually prefer, and because it takes a brief moment to overlay this red-alert color mostly used on submarines, you can beat the reddish background with repeated refresh. If you blink just right, you won't even see the refresh blanking. Works for me. ;)

JWPlatt, just an idea... can you try recalibrating your display? ;)

I noticed that nearly every topichead, name and more is underlined.
It looks to me a bit to much underlining. Can we try this without all the underlining? I think the complete picture of the forum will look more relaxed.
