If anyone was wondering about the lyrics but couldn't find them in a general google search..

Well, I thought the lyrics were in latin. Turns out the lyrics are in Narayani! I was blown away by the translation, too!
If you haven't found the lyrics/translation yet then it'll sort of blow you away if you're emotional and all that.
(TAKEN FROM DPWR.net AND EDITED FOR SPELLING MISTAKES)
(LISTEN TO THE SONG HERE)

Chorus
Tomahna, Edanna, Amateria, Voltaic, Narayan:
J'nanin, comensanin, expidan revilani erte yan.

Boy Soprano (Saavedro as a boy)
Naray alani;
Naray latiste t'dee;
Nosis amani azhwa na.
Famina sa,
Havana devota.

Chorus 2 (After brothers visit Narayan)
Tomahna, Edanna, Amateria, Voltaic, Narayan:
J'nanin, apic'Nanin, revilani ero yamani yan.

Bridge (Saavedro swearing vengeance to his family)
Ami malisa pariel;
Memondama ami soule!

Break (Saavedro to Atrus)
Tomahna! Edanna! Amateria! Narayan!
Releeshahn! Nilashahn! Malisa ma Narayan!

Chorus 3
Tomahna, Edanna, Amateria, Voltaic, Narayan:
J'nanin, locusani, degraca soule de yamani...

Translation

Chorus
Tomahna, Edanna, Amateria, Voltaic, Narayan:
J'nanin, where the journey to learn the Art begins.

Boy Soprano (Saavedro as a boy)
Narayan, my home;
Narayan, whose lattice tree is life;
I think of you with joy.
Keep my family safe,
Shelter the ones I love.

Chorus 2 (After brothers visit Narayan)
Tomahna, Edanna, Amateria, Voltaic, Narayan:
J'nanin, use what you have seen to unlock all that my Ages have to offer.

Bridge (Saavedro swearing vengeance to his family)
I will avenge your peril;
Remember my heart!

Break (Saavedro to Atrus)
Tomahna! Edanna! Amateria! Narayan!
Releeshahn! Annihilation! I will avenge my Narayan!

Chorus 3
Tomahna, Edanna, Amateria, Voltaic, Narayan:
J'nanin, breeding ground for lost souls...

These lyrics just blew me away at how deep they were and the fact that it's from Saavedro's point of view just makes it more emotional (for me, I was emotionally attached to Saavedro's plight to get home, I almost cried when I helped him get home). And the fact that the Narayani were also singing made it better for me to relate to, since I want to be Narayani when I grow up. :3 Which is why in the meantime of enlightening people i'm also asking for a link to a site that teaches Narayani. Or maybe Rivenese. XD

:shock: Oh, wow! Gets one a little misty-eyed, for sure.

How is it I never noticed the lyrics were the names of the ages?

Wow, I have literally had that song in my music collection for years. It's one of my favorites. I never noticed any of this! :shock: That's what I love about Myst, you can play it for years, and one day you notice some element that you had previously missed (I mean myst) this whole time.

Thanks for showing this to me. :D I've always thought that Jack Wall did excellent work with the Myst 3 & 4 soundtracks. Funny enough, I saw him not 6 months ago when he was conducting for the Video Games Live concert.

Wow!!! Dear Inunah, that just blew me away as well... I've always felt deeply with Saavedro and I'm glad somehow that, while
playing Myst III back then, I didn't know the translation to that awesome music, that I love so much, 'cause it had definitely
made me cry...

As a little thank you, Inunah, I'm providing you with all the links to Narayan I was able to find...

Linking to Narayan...

The Narayani Collective

Narayan Symbol Key

Narayani Light... two great fonts...

Thanks again, Inunah... Have fun... :D

>.> Why the Narayani language didn't get developed is beyond me. It should have been perfected and awesometized.

Sadder to say, Inunah's 'here' link to Utube seems to have been pulled (at the Utube end); it says "This video has been removed due to terms of use violation". Someone double check me. I think I know what well might be happening (I've warned of it elseplace..), but isn't there some way we can get permissions for this kind of case in this forum ? (Admin ?) And what would that take ? Seems to me it's in everyone's best interests...mebbe....? New Process needed.

You're right Abjab, and I believe it has something to do with the poster of this video as you get
that user violation message on all his/her videos... /shrug... :P

There are so many others... just listen to this one e.g.... Have fun... :D
