I followed your advice and tried to register again and got through this time but was stopped by a question about "promotion code". I have no idea where to find it and even if I used the link from over here I did not see anything (box or line) related to Uru Live.

I did receive a message yesterday ...

but no promotion code was included. Why is it so complicated is beyond my understanding.

Just because it asks for a promotion code doesn't mean you need one. Just as long as you pick the right subscription plan you will be alright. You will get to confirm all of your information before you submit it, so don't worry.

Yes, there's the special plan for 59.95 (4.95 for a year). You shouldn't need a promotion code to pick it.

Well it is done. I have been able to get through the registration maze.

All I have to do now is to wait for Uru Lve to get on line.

You were right, the promotion code was not needed. :oops:

I have signed up for the special 3 times in the last few days, and it is still showing the original subscription type, although I printed out the receipt. I sent an email to Customer Support and they responded this evening with the suggestion to called the toll-free number. :(

I signed up today(Canada here) and I'm very surprised. :) I so do not have time to spend on Gametap because I'm in an exam rush but I played some of my favorite childhood games: Bubles Bubles, Altered Beast, Alex the Kid, Wonder boy... so many good games to play... :D I guess I can wait a tad longer before being invited in beta.

Your subscription plan doesn't start right away. You have to wait until your next Gametap billing cycle. Just print your receipt you get at the end and you should be fine.
