alles ab Mac OS 10.3 und älter läuft auf den neuen Macs auch nicht mehr ;-)

Mit dem Unterschied, dass ich bisher noch kein Problem mit einem Mac OS X Update hatte. Auf der anderen Seite würde ich nie ein Windows 2000 auf XP updaten wollen. Na gut, SuSE hatte damals auch massive Probleme mit Updates. Darum bin ich auch irgendwann zu Debian und Kubuntu gewechselt.

Was haben Cyans Entscheidungen mit Redmond zu tun? Im Februar wird Windows 2000 sieben Jahre alt; dass das nicht mehr unterstützt wird, sollte nun wirklich kein sonderlich großes Problem sein (davon abgesehen war 2000 sowieso nie für Privatanwender gedacht).

Windows XP SP2 wird es sicher für eine ganze Weile nicht treffen, vor allem nicht, bis es ein drittes Service Pack gibt.

So wie es aussieht, scheint PhysX schuld daran zu sein, dass Windows 2000 nicht mehr unterstützt wird.

So langsam glaub ich auch, dass der physics-engine Tausch der schlechteste Schritt zum neuen Uru war :-(
