I think the announcement of the update is fantastic.
Some of those fixes have been a long time coming
and shows what happens when those who can ... do.

I give my thanks and appreciation to those who worked on the fixes.

Hi Tai,

I am giving the first broadcast in the DMR music marathon Saturday from 1-2pm KI time. However, I will broadcast from my Ustream site, which is www.ustream.tv/channel/musica-in-the-dmr. There is a lot of Brit prog rock left from my broadcast Sunday

I believe most of the other music will be on www.ustream.tv/channel/live-in-the-dmr

Awesome timing for the update

For those who missed my presentation on Tuesday night, there will be an encore performance of "Music for Exploring Worlds" on Sunday, February 12th, from 10:00 to 14:00 KI Time with music beginning at 9:45 KI time. Although this takes place outside of the official celebration week, I trust that the encore will be more accessible to folks in other time zones.

Rather than post information about the songs live during the event as I did on Tuesday, there will be a schedule posted beforehand that people can check to learn about each piece of music in the broadcast.

Musica, I've added your details to the Event Schedule.

Marten, I see no reason why we shouldn't simply extend the celebration to include your encore presentation, so I've added it to the Event Schedule. I presumed you want it held in the OU hood again; if not, let me know so I can change it.

Oh... I should add a note that the party won't step on the "Significa!" event the Greeters are doing. Anyone still dancing by then has more stamina than I have!

Yes and no: the party has moved to the Fun House (thanks to Segfault!)

Plus we got massive ki issues, you need to log your avvie back in in order to see it on the list.

No music channel was ever posted that I know of. I'm also in the cavern and unable to find the DMR hood on the nexus, but I see the birthday girl appears to be in the Fun House, so perhaps the party has been moved to there. /shrug

2nd Anniversary Closing Ceremony

Saturday brings us to the end of our Anniversary Week, although that ending has also not yet been written...

We begin this "end" at 11:00 KI time in Kirel. There will be balloons, much dancing, shorah-ing, huzzah-ing, and lots of good things to eat.

Near the end of the first hour, we'll take a breather and spend a few moments to say "Welcome Home" to all new explorers who have joined us in the last year, and also to those who have left the Cavern to rejoin us in spirit.

The music will slowly pick up again and we'll end by wearing out what dancing shoes we have left on our feet. There will be more new music from Turjan, and a special Anniversary release of some really fun old/new music from Christian Walther. Save at least a patch of leather on your shoes for that!

"Significa", a Quiz night in the Guild of Greeters PUB (located in the Nexus City Links) is happening today, Friday, Feb 10, 2012 as part of the Anniversary events this week!

Created and sponsored by Jonathan Myer of the Guild of Greeters, this will be a fun event where explorers have the opportunity to challenge each other with their knowledge of URU.

When: Friday, Feb 10, 2012 at 19:00 KI Time (9:00 PM Eastern USA Time)
Where: The Guild of Greeters PUB - found via the Nexus City Links (you must have a Greeters shirt from Kirel to have access to this PUB).
What: Jonathan will break the visitors into teams with a Team Leader. Questions will be posed and the first Team Leader to "buzz" in has an opportunity to answer and build points.
Also: A balance of questions will have both TEXT and Image related topics to challenge your knowledge.
Winnings: Winning team gets $1,000,000 !

OK, I am kidding about the million dollars, but it should be fun. Come and join us!
