I had just jumped into the fissure when the wipe started and I had a faded screen shot of myself in mid air for about 2 min. then everything went black and I was returned to my desktop.

What exactly is going on? I followed the link in the email, filled everything out and got an error message.
Sorry, I just find this forum a bit confusing. All I see when I come here is a whole mishmash of topics with similar titles. And what is the difference between the Uru Live Beta General Discussion forum and the Uru Live Beta Game Discussion?

I got the email and click on the link...fill out the info and put in the beta code.....but get an error....

Beta Registration Interface
Error: Unable to connect to Uru servers.

An server error has occurred...please wait a minute and try again.
If this message continues to appear please contact customer service.

Anyone else having this problem?

Activating your re-created account requires access to the game servers, but they are down for the update. After they're back up, I presume we Explorers of the 500 will all try to activate and download the update at the same time, undoubtedly crashing the server. Thus the 500 will reveal the true meaning of "Destruction is coming . . . "

Yep. I ended up with a network 6 error while we were chatting in the city. Still can't login, (Authentication fails),so I'm assuming they're still doing the update/vault wipe.

Thanks Zardoz....I was in cavern and did not see this thread. Got a net error and came here. Checked my email and tried to register. I guess when I got bounced from the cavern was about the time they took down the server.

Yes, at first I did get this message. Now it is totally different.

Actually, I am now getting the standard M$ "Page can not be displayed"

Now what's up?

If I wasn't confused enough when I got the e-mail...I'm completely stumped now.

Maybe a clarified mailing would help. How does one know if one is part of the 500?

Not that it matters until it stops working again? Or will it work until it starts, then stop?

What happens if I'm not part of the 500 and update anyway? What happens if...yada, yada, yada, blah, blah, blah.

My head is trying to explode! What, dear? Dinner? Cool.

Nevermind. It hurts to think right now.
