Location: Hanging around with mermaids. And still looking for the elusive Funky Bahro.
For Mr. Wall:

One of my favorite tracks on Myst IV: Revelation is Predator. It's so different from the rest of the music in the soundtrack. What can you tell us about the musicians involved?

I heard a splendid interview, and thank you very much !!!!!

I am sorry !!

I had said that a main theme of "MystⅢ:EXILE" was sung by Narayan word, but it might be wrong. :oops:
I introduce a text here. (From : Mysterium)
Peke

One day the chorus magically popped into my head. I guess that's the way it happens sometimes.
Jack Wall

I wanted to put enough ideas into this piece, so that I could cull various themes for the different ages and characters from this piece - making it a true main theme.
Jack Wall

Lyrics English Translation

J'Nanin, where the journey to learn the Art begins.
Boy Soprano (Saavedro as a boy)
Narayan, my home; Narayan, whose lattice tree is life;
I think of you with joy.
Keep my family safe;
Shelter the ones I love.
Chorus 2 (After brothers visit Narayan)
Tomahna, Edana, Amateria, Voltaic, Narayan
J'Nanin, use what you have seen to unlock all that my Ages have to offer.
Bridge (Saavedro swearing vengeance to his family)
I will avenge your peril;
Remember my heart!

Hello everyone,

Last night was simply wonderful ! An evening we will always remember.

Jack Wall dedicated 2 hours of his time to us from his own studio.
The composer behind the music of Exile and Revelation - to name a few - kindly, passionately and enthusiastically answered
(y)our questions. The whole interview is available on our channel at www.ustream.tv/channel/live-in-the-dmr.

We also had the privilege to talk to his wife about her opera and she also sang an excerpt from the Edanna Age ! Fantastic ! When she explained how she got involved and her husband's reaction after her one take performance, it reminded me of Richard Wright with Clare Torre in the studio when she sang in 'The great gig in the sky' for the 'Dark side of the moon' album. Exact same thing !

Last night, we all received a magnificent gift. There is no words to express our sincere gratitude to Mr Wall. From the bottom of our hearts, we say THANK YOU !

Christine, Planetary, Mouski

I was very impressed by Jack Wall's openness and friendly approach. It was like a chat amongst buddies. He really does love his calling, and it shows in what he produces.

Kudos to you, the DMR guys, for arranging and conducting this outstanding event.

I was slightly surprised that he hadn't heard of Karl Jenkin's Adiemus or the Soft Machine. But then I'm ancient so I should not be. Adiemus basically does largely choral works in what sounds like a new language but is simply well arranged mouth-music, and the Softs are or were a Canterbury-scene group taking their name from the William Burroughs book. Like all Canterbury-scene artists they specialise in witty track titles. Prog rock shading into psychedelic regions. I'm not a big fan myself (being ancient I prefer something a little more ordered) but they are reckoned to be very influential.
