I really think you guys ought to consider doing a doodle to celebrate MYST's 20th anniversary on Sept 24. The game has been a very positive influence in the gaming industry.

The Myst series is notable for:
-helping the adoption of CD-ROMs
-non-violent, story and puzzle driven gameplay
-promoting literacy
-groundbreaking graphics and music in games
-clearest example of video games as art
-featured in both the Smithsonian and Museum of Modern Art
-key factor in the creation of video games live (Jack Wall was a founder)
-a major inspiration for the tv show LOST

Unfortunately, despite all this, Myst has largely dropped out of public consciousness. So I propose celebrating the 20th anniversary of Myst's release so more people come into contact with what I personally think is a cultural treasure of the internet age.
