I think there are a few fans of the Journeyman Project Series on this forum.... but for those of you who don't know about it, it's a series of sci-phi adventure games that came out in the 90's. The remake of the first game(Pegasus Prime) is finally be released for modern hardwhere(it was originally only on pre-OS X Macs and I think some other obscure hardware). If you want to check out the demo the URL is here:
http://thejourneymanproject.com/presto/ ... demos.html

The full version will come on Good Old Games soon.

You can also follow The Journeyman Project on Facebook.

thanks for the tip, Jamie. I'll look out for it. :D I've already got "buried in time" and "legacy of time" from GoG, but I have found it hard to get the right compatibility settings for my Win7.

I was introduced to this series through my cousin and "Legacy of Time", and loved it! I have "Buried in Time" but haven't played it yet. I will definitely look forward to this coming out on GOG!

I played a demo of this and liked it, so bought it on Ebay. It didn't work on my Windows XP machine, and nothing I did changed that. So, I'll be glad to get a chance to play.

This is awesome! I had always hoped there would be another one. I played all the others, including the first one in the Turbo Version.

The game is out, I bought a copy in December and it arrived yesterday. I have a boxed copy which you can see here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhFGU3rC-38. It's much better then the turbo version.

EDIT: Only the Mac vestion is out now but the other vestions will be out next month.

Been watching this project for a while now. So glad things are finally finished. Now I gave to wonder if they're going to do the rest of the series.

Those are just ports. I believe this is a true update.

This is just a port as well. Pegasus Prime was originally released in 1997 for the mac (and playstation in japan).

This is a release of the unreleased DVD-ROM version(that they had the assets for). It's slightly higher quality. If
you have a Mac running OS - Mac OS X 10.3.9 to 10.6.8*, you can get a DVD-ROM version of Journeyman 3 which apparently has slightly higher graphics.

* The programmers made the game for PowerPC and then apple killed the PowerPC to X86 translator.(way to go guys)

Cool to see some of Presto Studios' earlier works available for modern computers.

Really kind of sad, isn't it, that the studio went under shortly after releasing Myst III: Exile, a game which was creatively and commercially successful. Does anyone here know what exactly happened to Presto and why they closed down?

Looks like the CEO runs an edutainment app company these days.
