Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit: Using the standard client, it falls over and the familiar Windows failure dialog "UruExplorer has stopped working" comes up.

The failure occurs whether I enter a username and password or not. Simply leaving the authentication window open leads to failure after about 20 seconds.

The last time this happened it was associated with a lack of the Cavcon figure display, but whether that is a cause or a symptom I can't tell. Support.cyan.com is down as far as I can tell, so that agrees with what Mac_Fife told us.

Windows XP Pro SP3 32-bit: client connects to MOULa with no trouble.

No change at all, so it's still not working for me...
I run on Win 7 (64 bit) in XP-mode and as admin.

Yes, me too. I just returned. Everything works well again.

Thanks to whoever took the time and had good will to fix the problem.

Support.cyan.com is back too. Looks like the two might well have been connected...

Might this "Border Gateway Protocol" problem have had something to do with the log-in problems?

Seems strange if that was the culprit that it would only affect Win 7 and above (no one mentioned Vista) and allow Win XP to log-in.
I am using one computer with a dual partition. XP was fine while Win 7 Pro was not.

I don’t know what caused the network issue, but the bug that causes the crash when there is a network issue is trivial to fix: Here you go. Hopefully Chogon can get the ball rolling again on open-source contributions to MOULa soon, so this can be integrated.

Uru is carelessly using some Windows functionality without checking for errors here, and happened to get away with that on Windows XP, but no longer on Windows 7.
