Just a note to say that I've been a little busier with other things lately and I haven't really done much work on this...but it hasn't been far from my mind and boy is it really close to being ready!

Just one.

Yep.

Yep, many times.

Yep.

5. How many pellet points have you earned? (Approximation fine)
At least 2000. I'll check again after the servers are back up, in case I have a few thousand more.

6. Do you use Facebook or Google+?
I use both.

7. Do you have a webcam?
Yep, I have a good one.

8. What web browsers do you use?
Just Chrome. I only use FireFox on public computers that don't have Chrome.

9. PC, Mac, or Linux?
PC.

10. What resolution do you typically run URU at?
Highest resolution available.

11. Do you typically run URU in Windowed mode?
Nope. I could if I need to browse at the same time.

12. Any experience testing software?
I tested a Half-Life 2 mod on Steam once.

13. What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
The European kind is 24 mph. The African kind is unknown to the whole world.

14. Anything else I should know?
I have Windows 7, and Uru never lags for me, and games run really good on my PC. And I wanna test this.

I've updated the main post to say that this project is currently on hold so I can take the opportunity to work on something quite exciting but that I plan to return to this project thereafter.

I rushed myself to complete the whole game to be able to participate quickly in the Beta Test. Ah well, it will be done!

I also want to say that I recently began to use Google Chrome, so I should meet all the requirements

One has almost all. I'd about 90-95%
See above. At least I'm willing to play the game all over again though because I love it so much. <3

I have once before for family and friends, yes.

Uh... 0? This is the one part of the game I haven't really done and haven't gotten myself familiar with.

No. (I do have G+, due to the Youtube forceage though, although I don't use it)

7. Do you have a webcam?
No

Firefox. Rarely Chrome.

9. PC, Mac, or Linux?
PC

I have a 1440x900 resolution, but I usually like to reduce it a bit (normally around 1280x960) for smoothness because my graphics card isn't the greatest though.

11. Do you typically run URU in Windowed mode?
No, but I wouldn't mind switching to it if you need me to.

12. Any experience testing software?
A bit yes.... actually I've tested several games before, even one from a decently known company.

13. What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
11 m/s
Slower than the speed a toast has when popping out of a toaster.

14. Anything else I should know?
I like waffles.
The first time I played Uru was over 10 years ago. I've completed it several times.

Segatendo, I'm afraid they're lost. Everyone recently had to start over. See Chogon's post, MOULa is alive again for more details.

All,

Well, I intended to get into the beta phase, but it became clear from multiple people that there really was no real use for this thing.

By the way, it's called D'ni Imager...it's a web-based version of the imagers we have in the hoods. If ya'll remember my original post:

That remains true. The feedback I got was all along the lines of "that's cool, BUT...[insert something here]".

Truth be told, I half expected as much. So, here's what I'm doing:

1. I'm stopping development. Honestly, my heart isn't in it and hasn't been for a few weeks.
2. I'm releasing the code I wrote...maybe someone out there can learn something from it or improve upon it, or...I don't know.

3. I'll make it public for 1 month so you have a chance to see what it was.

It is a little buggy still...there are issues with the image uploads - that's the biggest one. And sometimes if you use your browser back/forward buttons you get a non-functioning imager or the wrong imager. But apart from that it seems generally solid. (Oh, if you connect with Facebook, make sure you allow the additional permission otherwise you'll be stuck unable to use it...that's the other bug discovered)

You'll need Chrome for the full experience, Safari on mac should be good but I haven't tested it. Firefox has a degraded experience (doesn't support support stuff) and Internet Explorer is just nowhere close to being usable.

So, feel free to play with it. I won't be fixing any more bugs. Extra points if you find all of the easter eggs!

Well, I feel the need to apologize to you all for the hype. I feel like I've let everyone down on this one. But, I suppose you can't win 'em all. I've still got my other project on the go which is doing just fine. First release may be pretty soon. And, I've got a couple of other things that I'd like to work on at some point soon.

I think this would be a great storytelling tool. I can think of several ways to use it. Maybe when I get some time I'll try to learn how to use it.
