So, I just flew from Orlando to Vancouver with a layover in San Francisco. Thankfully, because they had to reroute around some bad weather, my plane few over a very important part of New Mexico! I've spend a decent amount of time looking at the area around Socorro, NM on Google Maps satellite view...enough that I was able to recognize exactly where I was when I flew over. From my seat on the right of the plane I immediately recognized this unusual feature in the landscape which is directly south of Socorro:

It was quite the view!

That area always reminds me of the part in the Book of Ti'ana where her and her father discovered the lava tube.
I could only just see Socorro off in the near distance, but I must say, the view was spell-binding. Later on, to my surprise, we flew past the Grand Canyon too!
So, I thought I'd share the story
