This is a very impressive gallery, Fondue du fromage, showcasing very extraordinary perspectives of all the ages and places ... :P

Those pictures are very beautifully presented, comfortably to look or just glance through, and the full size version can even be downloaded from the main image hosting site, Google+ ... Thanks for sharing, Fdf aka Tartiflette ... :D

Maybe janaba est fondue du fromage but Tartiflette has always been known under Fondue au fromage as well and, in both cases, I can't refrain from laughing each and every time I see his names.

For those not understanding a thing, here's a little AnnabelleBlablaish-English Dictionary excerpt

Janaba is a woman, in French, an adjective locution like "être fondu de" takes a final "e". Janaba can be fondue of something, to be passionate about. "Être fondu de" has almost the same meaning as "to be fond of" in English. In that case, she would be fond of cheese (du fromage = cheese).

A "Fondue au fromage" is a dish where you don't want to loose your little piece of bread unless... unless you sit beside a handsome man or a beautiful woman (yours to choose)

If you loose your piece of bread in the melting cheese, you must kiss your neighbour, well that's the tradition, I don't know if everyone follows it though.

A "Tartiflette" is a gratin, a French Savoyard dish. It is made with potatoes, reblochon cheese, lardons and onions. I don't eat a such horrific dish!

The word "tartiflette" in French sounds funny.

Haha, this is very funny, Annabelle ... Thanks for the extensive and lovely as well as delicious explanation lol ... :P

I already suspected that it must have been me, who had just confused his name and seen it differently, when he said he didn't change anything ... but that's the fun with languages ... So, I assumed he had thus corrected his name when I've seen the 'real version' lol, last time I've posted ... :D

That's exactly why I've chosen that 8) ok ... mainly because it was the first word that came to my mind

In my ears (not knowing before what it means lol, though Annabelle now told us that it's sth like a gratin with potatoes and cheese etc.) 'Tartiflette' sounds very lovely and sweet, just like those French 'tartes ou gâteaux' ... I've eaten them en France, but you can get them here in Berlin too ...

So, when hearing 'Tartiflette' I think of 'tarte au fruits', 'tarte á la crème' ou 'tarte flambée' etc. ... ahhh, délicieux ... :D

A tartiflette is something tasty too ... Even if Annabelle does not agree with that \o/

I'm not fond of Reblochon cheese, and lardons, and onions, so it's not a dish appealing to me but on the picture I've provided you guys, yes it looks interesting.

@janaba1: It's more in the way the word "tartiflette" sounds when you speak that makes it funny comparing to an average French word. It's one of the only words I'm pronouncing "à la française" (meaning like French people do instead of the way we would pronounce it in Canada).
